HBO MAX CELEBRATES SEASON TWO OF AWARD-WINNING MAX ORIGINAL HACKS BY TAKING DEBORAH VANCE'S TOUR BUS ON THE ROAD THROUGHOUT LOS ANGELES

In celebration of the upcoming second season of the hit Max Original comedy series Hacks, HBO Max is taking Deborah Vance’s tour bus that's prominently featured in the new season on the road around Los Angeles. The bus will tour the city for three days Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11, stopping at locations with ties to the show.

The bus tour stops include iconic Los Angeles locations such as the Santa Monica Pier and Venice Boardwalk, prominent entertainment media locations such as Penske Media and United Talent Agency (find full list of stop locations below including one at the Official Hacks Roadhouse tastemaker event on Tuesday, May 10). Fan experiences include free Hacks-themed merchandise giveaways – branded sunglasses, baseball caps and Deborah Vance tour shirts – surprise appearances, fun photo moments and more. The bus tour’s final stops on Wednesday will be at Rocco’s and Heart on the WeHo Strip, featuring a special surprise for fans of the comedy series.

HACKS is created and showrun by Emmy® winners Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky. It is executive produced by Downs and Aniello via their Paulilu banner, Statsky via First Thought Productions, as well as Emmy winners Michael Schur via Fremulon, David Miner for 3 Arts Entertainment and Morgan Sackett. The studio is Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. In season 2, the dark mentorship between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her young, entitled writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) continues to evolve as the two travel across the country workshopping Deborah’s new stand-up act.
Jean Smart, an Emmy® winner for her performance in season one of the series, is set to return with Hannah Einbinder, Carl Clemons-Hopkins and Jane Adams, who were all nominated for Emmys for season one. Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Paul W. Downs, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, Angela E. Gibbs, Luenell, Johnny Sibilly, Joe Mande, Ally Maki and Lorenza Izzo also star. Laurie Metcalf, Martha Kelly and Ming-Na Wen have been announced as recurring guest stars and Margaret Cho as a guest star for the highly anticipated second season.
